Chest & Shoulder
My Pectoralis
The pectoralis major is the large chest muscle that helps push, press, and rotate your arm across your body.

What can go wrong
Pectoralis tears usually happen during heavy bench pressing or forceful eccentric loading. They typically occur at the tendon's attachment to the humerus, causing sudden pain, bruising, weakness, and sometimes a visible defect. Surgical repair is often recommended for active patients to restore full strength.
Prevention
- Proper warm-up before pressing movements
- Avoid maxing out with poor form
- Balance pushing with pulling work
