Shoulder
My Labrum
The labrum is a ring of cartilage that deepens the shoulder socket and keeps the joint stable.

What can go wrong
Labral tears often come from trauma (falls, dislocations), repetitive overhead activity, or wear over time. They can cause catching, popping, instability, and pain with overhead or behind-the-back movements. Diagnosis typically involves an MRI with contrast, and treatment ranges from physical therapy to arthroscopic repair.
Prevention
- Strengthen rotator cuff and scapular muscles
- Avoid extreme ranges under load
- Train with good shoulder mechanics
